This spa is in the “fresh elements restaurant”, on the 1st floor. After trekking Poonhill I went for the 1hr Nepal massage $22. The massage was great, knocked out all my aches, I like hard massage & the masseuse definitely delivered. I then trekked Mardi & came back for a 2nd go as the 1st was so good. The room is aircon, soothing music & they give disposable pants. It is as close to a spa as anything you can get in Nepal, from the free fruit juice at the start to the tea at the end.
I wanted to go to the massage palour by the deaf & blind but there was building work going on & a circular saw going for 60mims wasn’t conducive to relaxing. They are $30 and no where near as nice a surrounding as this place. I usually like to support something & get something but having spent a lot of time in Nepal to know that the goodwill of foreigners is played on. $30 for those surroundings is not reasonable, if all the money was going to the masseuses then I’d have no problem but it doesn’t, also that massage palour was hardly open, this one is open every day & they have s double room if you want a couples massage.
